Paper, a seemingly basic material that lends itself easily to a variety of functional applications, becomes the focal point for a new exhibition at Ticho House. In Paperworks, it morphs from a neutral and passive role into a meaningful creative medium with particular attributes that are central to the creation of uniquely individual works of art. The exhibition presents works by contemporary artists, including Hilla Ben Ari,Yifat Bezalel, Jan Tichy, Shaul Zemach and Maya Zack, who use paper as the central – sometimes exclusive – material, creating imaginary worlds imbued with new meaning.
