"Zera Ha-pur'anut" (Seed of Calamity) is Ori Shetel's current exhibition on display at the Jerusalem Artists House. Arik Miranda is the curator. Ori Shetel mainly paints, but doesn't limit himself to one media. In his paintings he searches for the gentle place between horror and calamity on the one hand, and naive fantasy on the other. On the picturesque surface he stretches the poles until the point at which enjoyment is also hurt and in suffering there is a heaping portion of softness.
