Festival BeShekel 2009 will take place in Harod Springs Gilboa, the Katamonim neighborhood of Jerusalem, and Lod, from June 30 to July 7, 2009. For the first time, the NGO has been operating in mixed communities of Jews and Arabs. Mixed bands of Jews and Arabs will perform! Admission is one shekel!
On July 6th, Festival BeShekel will be in Jerusalem's Katamonim neighborhood. The local bands that will perform were chosen on June 11th by Jerusalem musicians and artists Sha'anan Streett and Michael Greilsammer, who will also run the production workshops for the winning bands.
Performers: Mercedez Band, Alma Zahar, Asaf Avidan, Ashkara Metim, Harel Moyal, Idan Yaniv.
