The Jerusalem Theatre, in cooperation with Yad Vashem, will host a special screening of Gaylen Ross' Killing Kasztner (USA 2008). Dr. Israel Kasztner's granddaughter will be in attendance. This documentary deals with the interesting and controversial figure of Kasztner: who was he, and what really happened in Israel in the 1950s, when the country began to deal with Holocaust memories? At that time, Kasztner was labeled as a traitor who cooperated with the enemy and "sold his soul to the devil." Was he an angel or a devil? Savior of the Jews or Nazi collaborator? Dr. Israel Kasztner was shot to death on March 3, 1957 in Tel Aviv by a Jewish assassin.
