Jake Marmer hosts an ecstatic post-Midrashic jazz-poetry gig, Beat aesthetic with improvisation and reverence for the angsty Jewish soul, at Tmol Shilshom. Marmer has shared the stage with everybody-who's-anybody on the Jewish circuit in New York, from the Klezmatics to Pharaohs Daughter to Matisyahu. Accompanying him are Jean Claude Jones (Stan Getz, John Zorn) on bass, Haim Peskoff on percussion, and Harold Rubin on clarinet.
