"Amanili Sings" is a new show at the Train Theatre.
About the show:
Amanili, a young woman from a village in Mesopotamia, is expecting her first child. She askes the gods that her baby shall come out "running like a gazelle." Monowirtum, an old smart lady, teaches Amanili a lullaby that will help her calm her baby.
A unique combination of shadow theater and live music tells a picturesque tale full of magic about a little house, a market place, Aleli the baby, the grandmother and colorful characters from the Mesopotamian village.
In "Amanili Sings" old cultures come to life in a new and contemporary way. The show allows you to leap through time to ancient places and meet unusual people!
For ages 6 and up.
