Yael Ronen wrote and directs Ha-madrikh La-hayim Ha-tovim (Guide to The Good Life), a drama that follows the lives of a group of young Israelis whose activities are characteristic of the trends of their generation—traveling to India, finishing the army, studying in University, beginning what they hope will be successful careers in communications. What they all have in common is shallow relationships, unanchored lives and casual sex. The play succeeds in conveying the feeling of a generation living in a world void of values and meaning, stemming from the pressure and intensiveness of modern Israeli life. Approximately two and a half hours including intermission.
