This Hebrew-language adaptation of Oscar-winning American film classic Rain Man was nominated for an Israeli Theater Award in 2007 for best
play of the year and stars famed Israeli screen actor Lior
Ashkenazi. The play closely follows the plot of the 1988 movie, the story of
Charlie, a successful young businessman who discovers upon the death of
his father that he has a previously-unknown autistic savant brother in
a mental institution, Raymond - who has been given the inheritance
Charlie believes is rightfully his. An attempt to legally claim his
share of the inheritance leads Charlie to begin to form a close bond
with the brother he never knew he had.
